Two 21-year-old Summit County residents were arrested in a sex-sting operation at a township motel Tuesday night.
Police also seized 3 grams of heroin.
Alyssa D. Beaver of Cuyahoga Falls was arrested at 8:12 p.m. and Martinez C. Williams of Akron was arrested at 10:13 p.m., in a motel on Sunset Strip Ave. NW, Stark County Jail records said.
Williams is accused of bringing a 16-year-old girl to the motel so that she could have sex for hire with a man who turned out to be an undercover police officer, the jail records said. Beaver is accused of offering to have sex for money with the man who turned out to be an undercover officer.
Beaver also had 3 grams of heroin in her purse.
She was jailed on charges of heroin trafficking, criminal tools possession and soliciting. Williams was jailed on a charge of compelling prostitution.
Summit County court records show that Williams had been indicted by a Summit County grand jury on Monday on charges of receiving stolen property stemming from a case involving the theft of a Dodge Dart.
The jail records did not say what happened to the teenage girl he is accused of bringing to the motel.
Both remained in the jail early Wednesday pending hearings in Massillon Municipal Court, Beaver held in lieu of $26,000 bond and Williams held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Taylor Swift is at the top of her game: she began this week by forcing Apple to change their policy of payment to artists through their streaming service.
Tonight she begins the UK leg of her 1989 tour, in Glasgow, before taking to Hyde Park on Saturday at the same time Kanye West controversially headlines Glastonbury.
Journalist Dan Wootton interviewed Swift for Good Morning Britain backstage at her tour date in Cologne, Germany, on Friday – nine years after the release of her first single. Here’s what she told him:
Despite a very public breakup, ex-Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge has claimed that it would only take “a few phone calls” for him to consider rejoining the group. Attending San Diego Comic-Con to promote his new graphic novel, DeLonge was asked what it would take for him to record music with Blink-182 again. He replied, “probably just a few phone calls.”
A few days ago, Natalie Robehmed posted an interesting article regarding Jack and Jack, an up-and-coming rap/rock/at-times-comedy duo. The young lads from Omaha have gotten a lot of press in the past three years, starting with “Nerd Vandals” on Vine (which the Huffington Post called “Quite simply, a perfect Vine”). Soon the duo turned their internet gotten gains towards other pursuits, within the twins worlds of mobile gaming and pop music: in the eighteen months, the duo have self-released eleven singles, many of which have blown up on the iTunes charts, and a few of which have cracked the Billboard’s R’n’B charts.
Since Margeaux joined Love & Hip Hop Atlanta this season, we’ve seen the full arc of her relationship with Nikko. They came in on a low, and when things started to get better between the two of them, everything broke down and Margeaux decided it was time for a separation. Now, while Margeaux discusses her Scrilla Guerillaz cover fiasco, the two decide whether or not to go for the next step: Divorce.

Last night, Jamie xx performed in Los Angeles, where he debuted an extended remix of “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)”, his Young Thug and Popcaan collaboration from this year’s In Colour. The remix features verses from dancehall artists Assassin, Konshens, and Kranium, as well as an extra verse from Popcaan, and was remixed by Dre Skull. According to Young Turks, Jamie’s label, the remix is “unfinished” but is intended for release.
Grimes Says Upcoming Album Will Feature ‘Diss Tracks’
Grimes‘ long awaited follow-up LP to her massively popular 2012 release Visions is finally on its way, and it looks like she’s traded in her sadder sound for anger, channeling that feeling into a whole bunch of diss tracks set to be on her upcoming album.
According to an interview with Fader, Grimes revealed that her next album will see a tonal shift from her last. She said, “They’re not all diss tracks, but there’s a lot of diss tracks. I think all my other albums were, like, sad. And this time it’s more happy and angry. I live in my own house that I pay for. I bought all this equipment myself. I control my own life now. No one has any say over what I do or where I go or when I do it.”
She said one track in particular is about male producers and specifically “about a guy who acts like he knows everything and then comes back crawling on his knees, which has happened to me so many times.”
The album is reportedly due out in October, though an official release date has yet to be announced. Hopefully more specifics will emerge at some point in the near future, though Grimes did say she hopes to release the album as a “surprise” in October. This announcement would actually lessen its shock factor, but perhaps that’s just deflection on her part.
Justin Bieber Announces New Single ‘What Do You Mean’
“What Do You Mean?” is officially the new “Where Are Ü Now?”
After heating up our spring/summer playlists with his legitimately fantastic collaboration with Jack Ü (that’s Diplo and Skrillex), the Buttstagrammer himself, Justin Bieber, is returning with his own single in exactly 30 days.
In an interview on On Air with Ryan Seacrest this morning, the Calvin Klein underwear spokesman/pop sensation revealed that his new single is coming on August 28. (Anyone else notice that strange timing with the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards? Hmm…)
The Jason “Pooh Bear” Boyd-produced cut is said to be about the “flip-floppiness” of the ladies, which, well…alright. We can iron out that explanation a little bit in later interviews.
“Girls are often flip-floppy. They say something, and then they mean something else. ‘What do you mean?…I don’t really know, that’s why I’m asking.” GIRLS, AMIRITE?!
More importantly, it appears we already have a very tantalizing taste of the upcoming tune, thanks to a sneaky party-goer who happened to overhear the cut poolside…and then send along the audio-visual evidence to their cousin on Twitter earlier this month. The Internet! Trust no one, Justin.
It does sound like some end-of-summer fire though, right? It’s well worth getting excited about in advance.
